For so many years I would feel defeated if I had a bad day or a bad practice or I couldn’t hit the peak pose during a yoga sesh, but over the years I’ve realized it doesn’t matter. Movement should be where we find our peace, where we find our happiness, where we connect to source. It shouldn’t be dependent on our physical capabilities in one given day. That’s not where our worth comes from, nor where we find our love for self and others. Just like all things in life, it’s our journey, and we can’t win every time. 🤲 So embrace the times we fall, the times we don’t land the pose, the moments we shake, enjoy it all. 👯‍♀️🥰💗✨

Today is going to be a day of rest/recovery. It’s going to be a day of relaxing and unwinding. I feel that on IG all I see is people giving their 100% on fitness videos/yoga videos & that’s awesome & super proud of all of y’all puttin all out there, but we also need space to rest and recover. 💃🏽Hey hey beautiful! It’s so good to be back. I’m sure, like most of y’all, life’s been pretty intense these past few months. 🪫 Im sorry I’ve been a little MIA. Sometimes we have to step back and re-evaluate what we’re doing, what we want, and how that looks moving forward, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. 🫶

🙌I’m going to share more about my journey via YouTube for a tell all type of video (which will go up later this week 🪩) discussing what I’ve been going through, how I came to this type of connection, and what it means moving forward for my channel, IG page and business.
🕺🏽Im still going to be posting yin yoga content but with a twist on some of my post. I would like to pull from Buddhist and Christian wisdom to help propel our yoga practice to the next level. To find a deeper and more intuitive connection during our practice. Think of it more as secular Buddhism and secular Christianity(old &New Testament). Even if you consider yourself an atheist, we can still learn lessons and understandings from wise teachers… just sayin. 😏I’m so excited to start this journey and to be sharing this sacred part of my life.

☀️Every morning during my practice, I pray to God (them/they for me) and every evening. It’s created a type of unconditional love and unwavering peace that I haven’t experienced before and it’s overall changed my life and my perspective, and I hope it can do the same for you.

To find a deeper and more intuitive connection during our practice. Think of it more as secular Buddhism and secular Christianity(old &New Testament). Even if you consider yourself an atheist, we can still learn lessons and understandings from wise teachers… just sayin. 😏I’m so excited to start this journey and to be sharing this sacred part of my life.

☀️Every morning during my practice, I pray to God (them/they for me) and every evening. It’s created a type of unconditional love and unwavering peace that I haven’t experienced before and it’s overall changed my life and my perspective, and I hope it can do the same for you.

It’s not always easy to start up a new hobby, sport, lifestyle. Especially when we have multiple hats to wear, and time that seems to just slip by.

Here are my top five tips for ANYONE starting out with ANY STYLE of yoga:
1. Start out slow- our bodies are designed to move, YES! The thing is, many of us don’t move enough and our mobility and range of motion aren’t what they used to be when we were kids and teenagers… so take it slow and listen to your body.
2. Don’t compare yourself to others- enough said. This one expands into our everyday lives as well. What works for you, might not work for someone else and vice versa. 🙏🫶
3. USE PROPS!! Use them, I promise you will be happy you did afterwards. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING PROPS 🥰✨🙌 in fact, sometimes it’s even better for us!
4. Focus on breathing- this is a #1 for me. The breathe is one of the most powerful tools we have in our bodies. It is our literal life force, and many of us don’t know how to properly breathe.
5. Find a teacher that resonates with you!! It’s ok if it’s not me 😉 find someone that teaches the style that you like and makes you feel comfortable. It can be a trial and error thing. Try different teachers, styles, and studios. See what resonates with you, your body and your soul.

Most importantly!! Enjoy the journey! 🫶🥰🙏 at the end of the day, it’s your practice and your life. Live it to the fullest and enjoy all the moments that we can.

✨Today marks International Epilepsy Day and I want to take a moment to reflect on my journey with this often misunderstood condition. Living with absence seizures and partial seizures has not always been easy, but it has taught me so much about resilience, determination, and the power of perspective.

Despite the challenges, I’ve learned to embrace my epilepsy and find the strength to overcome obstacles. I’ve also found a supportive community of fellow epilepsy warriors who understand what it’s like to live with this condition and inspire me every day. Through my yoga practice, meditations, and lifestyle changes I’ve been able to manage my stress, a major trigger for my epilepsy, which has allowed me to live a more fulfilling life.

I want to remind everyone that living with epilepsy is possible and there is hope for a bright future. Whether you are struggling with seizures or supporting a loved one with epilepsy, know that you are not alone. Let’s come together on this International Epilepsy Day to raise awareness, break stigma, and inspire hope for all those affected by this condition.
